Flannel

Flannel

Flannel is a soft fabric woven primarily from cotton or wool in a plain or twill weave. This is slightly roughened and fulled on one or both sides. Flannels are comparatively light, soft and therefore warming and absorbent.

Flannel woven from cotton is also known as beaver. This fabric quality is often used for warm bed linen. Boj is the name of a type of flannel from Amiens, France.
