Ecosystem
An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment, interacting as a system. These biotic and abiotic components are linked together through nutrient cycles and energy flows. Ecosystems can be of various sizes and can be found in different environments such as forests, deserts, oceans, and wetlands.
Structure of an Ecosystem
Each ecosystem consists of two main components: biotic and abiotic. The biotic components include plants, animals, and microorganisms, while the abiotic components consist of soil, water, sunlight, temperature, and nutrients. These components interact with each other in complex ways to maintain the balance of the ecosystem.
